The classic first piercing. Most kids do great at this age with a parent close by.
Old enough to handle the aftercare routine with supervision and committed to keeping the jewelry in.
These piercings take longer to heal and demand more care. We don't budge on this one.
What to expect at the appointment
Walking in for the first time? Here's exactly how the appointment goes, so you and your child both know what's coming.
Total time:15 to 30 minutes.

Check-in & Consent
A parent or legal guardian needs to be there to sign the waiver. No exceptions, no workarounds.

Jewelry Selection
Your child picks from our titanium studs — we'll help narrow it down based on what's healing-friendly and what she'll love.

Marking the Spot
The piercer marks both ears with a tiny dot and shows your child in the mirror. Nothing happens until she's happy with the placement.

Piercing Time
Two piercers, two needles, both lobes at the same time. Done in under a second. Most kids are surprised it's already over.

Fun Stuff
Stickers, suckers, and a photo if she wants one. Then you're out the door with aftercare instructions and a healing plan.

Your child's new piercings will heal beautifully with the right care. Here's the short version — click the button below for the full aftercare list.
THE DAILY ROUTINE
Spray NeilMed Piercing Aftercare solution on the front and back of each piercing twice a day, holding the bottle 2 to 4 inches away. Fan or blow-dry on the coolest setting until fully dry. That's it.
WHAT TO AVOID
No touching or twisting the jewelry. No sleeping on the new piercings. No swimming or submersion for 6 weeks. No butterfly or screw-back earrings for 6 to 12 months. No ointments, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or witch hazel.
THE TIMELINE
Come back in 6 to 8 weeks for the included downsize. You can swap earrings around the 4-month mark, but keep earrings in 24/7 for the full 6 to 12 months. After that, fully healed.

Yes. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or legal guardian present to sign the waiver and approve the piercing.
No, and we never will. Piercing guns can't be fully sterilized and they crush the tissue, which causes longer healing and more pain. We use single-use, sterile needles every time.
